Matador Collection is a fashion and art project developed by Lola Clavel, Dorota Grabowska-Kulka, Elisabeth Lewis, Camille Royer, and Andrea Echeverri.
Inspired by by the dark comedy, Matador, directed by Almodóvar, the Matador collection idea is to blend modernity, costumes, femininity and colors into one world. Our goal is to achieve a reinvention of costumes in photography and fashion.
This art project consists of five themes: Abanico, Adorno, Aragonesa, Fregolina, and Mariposa. The name of each style refers to a movement of a corrida (bullfighting). Each theme demonstrates a characteristic composition of dynamic colors, luminosity, and clothes.
